Inez Blair, 68, fatally struck near Fort Worth bus stop
FORT WORTH, TX – A woman died, and two people sustained injuries Saturday when a vehicle struck them before crashing into a building in east Fort Worth.
According to WFAA News 8, the incident occurred shortly after 3 p.m. along Lancaster Avenue between Weiler Boulevard and Emily Drive. This is south of Meadowbrook Golf Course and west of I-820.
Police say that two vehicles were speeding on Lancaster when one of the vehicles lost control, struck three pedestrians near a bus stop, and hit a building.
One of the pedestrians, identified as 68-year-old Inez Blair, succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
The other two pedestrians sustained minor injuries; it’s unclear if they required hospitalization.
Fort Worth Police arrested both of the speeding drivers on a charge of collision involving death. They’ve been identified as Deovion Alexander and De’tavius Hayes.
