Motorcycle rear-ends pickup on Ave Q, injuring Kenneth Duonola

LUBBOCK, TX – A 57-year-old motorcyclist sustained injuries early Friday in a two-vehicle collision along a major roadway in downtown Lubbock, reports KCBD 11.

The incident occurred shortly after midnight on the northbound side of Avenue Q between Glenna Good Acre Boulevard and 10th Street, which is just east of Lubbock Memorial Civic Center.

Police say that the motorcyclist was travelling at a high rate of speed when he failed to slow for traffic ahead and struck the rear of a pickup truck.

Medics transported the biker, identified as 57-year-old Kenneth Duonola, to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.

No other injuries have been reported in connection to the accident.

A full investigation is underway.
