Belton Police pursuit proves fatal for Javion Giovanni Crim

TEMPLE, TX – An 18-year-old motorcyclist died Monday in a crash involving an 18-wheeler in central Bell County, reports KCENTV 6.

The accident occurred just before 10 a.m. on the northbound frontage road of I-35 past Midway Drive in southwest Temple. This is just over an hour northeast of Austin.

The preliminary investigation indicates that the motorcyclist evaded Belton Police on I-14 in an attempted traffic stop for speeding. The biker ultimately rear-ended a semi-truck on the I-35 service road.

The motorcyclist, identified as Javion Giovanni Crim, died after transport to an area hospital.

No other injuries have been reported in connection to the accident.

The investigation is ongoing.
