Woman killed in pedestrian hit-and-run at Terry and Munger

DALLAS, TX – Police are looking for a driver that struck and fatally injured a female pedestrian last Sunday afternoon in northeast Dallas, reports WFAA News 8.

Shortly before 2 p.m., emergency crews responded to an auto-pedestrian crash at Terry Street and South Munger Boulevard, which is just north of I-30 and west of Tenison Park Golf Course.

Police say that a woman was crossing near the intersection when an unidentified vehicle hit her. It’s unclear if she was utilizing a designated crosswalk when the accident happened.

The pedestrian died after transport to an area hospital. Authorities have not yet released her name to the public.

The driver involved in the collision did not stop to render aid and to speak with police.

Motorists likely experienced delays in the area of Terry and Munger Sunday afternoon while emergency teams gathered evidence and worked at the scene.

A full investigation is underway.
