Two-car crash on Milwaukee in SW Lubbock claims Ruiz Pardo

LUBBOCK, TX – A major collision along a busy roadway in southwest Lubbock killed two people and injured another early Saturday, reports KCBD 11.

Shortly after 1 a.m., emergency crews responded to a two-vehicle crash in the area of Milwaukee Avenue and 64th Street, which is just south of McAlister Park in the Primrose Pointe area.

Police say that a northbound vehicle collided with a southbound vehicle when the driver of the latter vehicle initiated a left turn into a parking lot. The driver of the northbound vehicle was allegedly speeding when the crash occurred.

The impact of the crash threw the southbound driver from his vehicle, and he died after transport to an area hospital. Authorities identified the victim as 28-year-old Ruiz Pardo.

A passenger in the southbound car, identified as 31-year-old Alexandra Ordaz, was also ejected and sustained fatal injuries.

Medics transported the 34-year-old driver of the northbound vehicle, identified as Jimmy Janssen, to an area hospital with serious injuries.

A full investigation is underway.
