Police ID Seth Rains as victim in Design District hit-and-run
DALLAS, TX – A 23-year-old man died late last month when a vehicle struck him at a busy intersection in northwest Dallas, reports Fox 4 News KDFW.
Shortly after 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 26th, emergency crews responded to an auto-pedestrian crash at Turtle Creek Boulevard and Market Center, which is south of Dallas Market Center in the Design District.
Police say that Seth Rains was crossing the intersection when a black Lexus hit him. Rains succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
The driver of the Lexus did not stop to render aid or to speak with authorities. Dallas Police utilized surveillance footage and evidence found at the scene to locate and arrest Hernandez De Leon in connection to the accident.
De Leon faces charges that include collision involving death.
A full investigation is underway.
