Sabra Farabee IDed as victim in T-bone crash near Gruver
HANSFORD CO., TX – A two-vehicle collision along the highway in west-central Hansford County claimed the life of a 57-year-old woman on Sunday afternoon.
According to News Channel 10, the accident occurred shortly after 1 p.m. at the intersection of FM 1262 and TX-15, which is just west of Gruver and about 95 miles northeast of Amarillo.
Police say that a southbound 2024 Chevrolet Silverado T-boned a westbound 2022 Lexus RX350 when the driver of the former vehicle ran a stop sign.
The driver of the Lexus, identified as Sabra Farabee of Texhoma, died at the scene of the crash.
Medics transported the driver of the Chevy, identified as 21-year-old Alexander Powell of Arkansas, to an area hospital with serious injuries.
The accident likely created delays along TX-15 in the area of FM 1262 while emergency crews worked at the scene.
