Oscar Duque, 64, IDed as victim in Adkins head-on collision

ADKINS, TX – A wrong-way crash in east-central Bexar County claimed the life of a 64-year-old man on Monday afternoon, reports KENS5.

The accident occurred shortly after 1:30 p.m. just north of US-87 on East Loop 1604 in the city of Adkins, which is 21 miles east of San Antonio.

Police say the collision involved a black car and a white car. One of the vehicles overturned during the crash and sustained substantial damage.

Authorities declared one person deceased at the scene, identifying him as Ocar Duque.

The cause of the crash has not yet been established, and it’s unclear if anyone else was hurt in the accident.

The collision likely caused delays along East Loop 1604 while emergency crews worked at the scene.
