Edward Hererra IDed as victim in NE El Paso motorcycle crash
EL PASO, TX – A 55-year-old man died Sunday in a motorcycle accident along a busy roadway in northeast El Paso, reports KFOX 14.
Around 2 a.m., emergency crews responded to a single-vehicle accident on Fort Wilson Avenue near Dyer Street. This is west of US-54 and south of the Walmart Supercenter.
Police say the motorcyclist was likely speeding when he lost control of his westbound, black Harley Davidson. The bike struck the curb and a road sign. The impact of the collision ejected the driver, who died at the scene.
Authorities identified the victim as Edward Hererra.
There were no passengers on the bike at the time of the crash.
Drivers likely faced delays along Fort Wilson Avenue while teams gathered evidence and worked to clear the scene.
A full investigation is underway.
