Rollover on TX-100 in Los Fresnos claims Angel Flores, 17

LOS FRESNOS, TX – One teen died, and another sustained injuries Tuesday in a single-vehicle collision along the highway in southeast Cameron County.

According to KRGV 5, the accident happened after 12:30 p.m. on TX-100, or East Ocean Boulevard, between San Ramon Road and Old Port Isabel Road on the far east side of Los Fresnos.

Police say that an eastbound black Ford Ranger carrying a 17-year-old male driver and a 17-year-old female passenger overturned after losing traction in wet road conditions.

The female passenger, identified as Angel Flores, succumbed to her injuries after transport to an area hospital.

Medics transported the driver to the hospital with non-critical injuries.
