Virginia Martinez IDed as victim in 2-car crash in NW Waco
WACO, TX- One person died, and several people sustained injuries in a two-vehicle collision that happened on the eve of Labor Day in northwest Waco.
According to Fox 44 News, emergency crews responded to a major collision on China Springs Road near Saddle Creek Road. This is just northwest of Waco Regional Airport.
Police say that a northbound Dodge Ram collided with a southbound Dodge Ram when the driver of the former vehicle initiated a left turn into a parking lot on China Springs Road.
A passenger from the northbound vehicle, identified as 72-year-old Virginia Martinez, sustained fatal injuries in the accident.
Medics transported additional occupants of both vehicles to the hospital. Authorities haven’t yet commented on the number of people hurt or the severity of their injuries.
No charges have been filed thus far.
A full investigation is underway.
