Nome Police ID Charles Moak as victim in semi collision

NOME, TX – A 60-year-old man sustained fatal injuries Friday in a two-vehicle crash involving a semi-truck in northwest Jefferson County, reports 12 News Now.

Shortly before 4:30 a.m., emergency teams responded to a major accident at the intersection of Highway 365 and Highway 90 on the east side of Nome, which is about 19 miles southwest of Beaumont.

Police say that a northbound Ford F-150 collided with a westbound 18-wheeler when the driver of the Ford ran a red light.

The driver that caused the accident, identified as Charles Moak of Groves, succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the crash.

The driver of the semi was not hurt in the accident.
