Van Horn crash claims Martha Zabrosky, injures 1 other

VAN HORN, TX – An Alpine woman sustained fatal injuries Tuesday in a two-vehicle collision along the highway in southwest Culberson County, reports KTSM.

The accident occurred just after 9 a.m. at the intersection of US-90 northbound, or Van Horn Drive, and the westbound frontage road for I-10 in the city of Van Horn, which is about 80 miles northwest of Fort Davis and the McDonald Observatory.

Police say that a westbound car collided with a northbound car when the 19-year-old driver of the former vehicle ignored a stop sign.

The driver of the northbound vehicle, identified as 64-year-old Martha Zabrosky, died after transport to an area hospital.

Medics transported the 19-year-old driver to the hospital with serious injuries.

There’s no word yet regarding charges.

A full investigation is underway.
