David Ramos, 3 others killed in 2-vehicle collision near Kilgore
KILGORE, TX – Four Kilgore men died Monday morning in a wrong-way crash along the highway in southwestern Gregg County, reports CBS 19.
The accident occurred sometime before 8 a.m. on TX-31 west of Old Highway 31, or FM 2767. This is just west of Kilgore and about 24 miles east of Tyler.
Police say that for unknown reasons, an eastbound vehicle entered the westbound side of the highway and collided head on with a westbound vehicle.
Three men from the first vehicle and one man from the second vehicle succumbed to their injuries at the scene.
Authorities have identified the victims as 21-year-old David Morales Ramos, 19-year-old Alejandro Julian Martinez, 20-year-old Jonathan Josue Perez, and 40-year-old Nicholas Colby Sanders.
The collision caused lanes closures and delays along TX-31 Monday morning while emergency crews responded to the scene.
