Adrian Garza IDed as motorcyclist killed in Edinburg crash

EDINBURG, TX – A two-vehicle collision claimed the life of a 35-year-old motorcyclist Tuesday in south-central Hidalgo County, reports KRGV 5.

Just after 7 a.m., emergency crews responded to a crash involving a motorcycle and a sedan at the intersection of West Trenton Road and South McColl Road in southwest Edinburg.

Police say that a westbound Chevy Malibu collided with an eastbound motorcycle when the driver of the Malibu initiated a left turn onto McColl without yielding right of way.

The motorcycle operator, identified as Adrian Mario Garza, died after transport to an area hospital.

It’s not yet clear if the driver of the Malibu will be charged in connection to the accident.

A full investigation is underway.
