Billy Joe Walsh killed in motorcycle crash near Lake Waco

WACO, TX – A single-vehicle crash claimed the life of a motorcyclist earlier this week on the far-west side of Waco, reports KCENTV 6.

The accident happened Monday in the area of West Lakeshore Drive and Wood Lake Drive, just east of Lake Waco in the Mountainview area.

Police haven’t yet shared the cause or circumstances of the collision except to say that they found the motorcycle operator at the scene in critical condition.

Medics transported the motorcyclist, since identified as 25-year-old Billy Joe Walsh, to an area hospital. Walsh succumbed to his injuries not long after transport.

There were no passengers on the motorcycle at the time of the crash.

A full investigation is underway.
