Eusebio Hurtado killed, child hurt in crash at Avenue J, Miller
FORT WORTH, TX – A man died, and a child sustained injuries Monday night in a two-vehicle collision on the east side of Fort Worth.
According to WFAA News 8, emergency teams responded to the scene at Avenue J and Miller Avenue shortly before 11 p.m. This is just north of SS Dillow Elementary School and Eastover Park.
Police are still working to determine the cause of the accident and the manner in which the two vehicles impacted.
One of the two drivers succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Authorities identified him as 39-year-old Eusebio Galvan Hurtado. There’s no word yet regarding the nature of Hurtado’s injuries.
Medics transported a juvenile passenger from the same vehicle to an area hospital with minor injuries.
An unknown number of people from the second vehicle also sustained minor injuries; it’s unclear if any of them required hospitalization.
The collision likely caused delays in the area of Avenue J and Miller Avenue while crews assisted the victims, gathered evidence, and worked to clear the scene.
