Motorcycle rear ends pickup in Killeen, killing Amani Keo

KILLEEN, TX – A 21-year-old man sustained fatal injuries Tuesday morning in a motorcycle accident along the highway in southwest Killeen, reports KCENTV 6.

Shortly before 7 a.m., emergency crews responded to a two-vehicle collision on the southbound side of TX-195, or South Fort Hood Street, near Splawn Ranch Drive. This is north of Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery.

Police say that a southbound Honda motorcycle was racing a southbound red Kawasaki motorcycle when the first bike rear ended a pickup truck.

The impact of the crash ejected the operator of the Honda, and he succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Authorities identified the deceased as Amani Jovan Keo of Harker Heights.

The driver of the pickup truck did not sustain injuries in the collision.

A full investigation is underway.
