Elika Rezvani IDed as victim in rear-end crash on S Gulfway Dr
PORT ARTHUR, TX – A Spring woman sustained fatal injuries Friday in a multi-vehicle collision along the highway in east-central Jefferson County.
According to 12 News Now, the accident happened around 4:30 a.m. on South Gulfway Drive, or TX-87, near the Valero Port Arthur Refinery. This is approximately 90 miles east of Houston.
Police haven’t shared any details about the circumstances of the crash except to say that it involved four vehicles. One of the vehicles rear-ended another vehicle, killing 23-year-old Elika Rezvani.
Medics transported three additional victims to the hospital with unknown injuries. They are expected to survive.
Officials closed TX-87 in the area of the crash while emergency crews gathered evidence and worked to clear the scene.
A full investigation is underway.
