Pit bull attacks, injures Christina Pate at Lake Worth dog park

LAKE WORTH, TX – A woman was hospitalized last Wednesday after a dog attacked her at a dog park in west-central Tarrant County.

According to CBS News, the incident occurred at the dog park on Dakota Trail in Lake Worth, which is approximately eight miles northwest of Fort Worth.

According to police, an off-leash pit bull entered the dog park through a hole in the fence and attacked Christina Pate.

Pate sustained deep wounds from multiple bites, a broken arm, and several dislocated fingers.

The owner of the dog, since identified as Autumn Billings, fled the scene.

Police later located and arrested Billings. The dog is being held at Lake Worth Animal Shelter.

A full investigation is underway.
