Mario Navarro claimed in Southpark Meadows motorcycle crash

AUSTIN, TX – A two-vehicle collision in southwest Austin claimed the life of a 34-year-old motorcyclist this past Sunday, reports KXAN.

Shortly before 7:30 p.m., emergency crews responded to a major accident on South 1st Street near Southpark Meadows Drive, which is just east of Mary Moore Searight Metropolitan Park.

Police haven’t yet commented on the cause or circumstances of the accident.

The biker, since identified as Mario Esai Navarro, died not long after transport to an area hospital.

It’s unclear if the other driver sustained injuries. Officials say that they remained at the scene to render aid and to speak with authorities.

The investigation is ongoing.
