Tariq Muhammad claimed in electric bike crash in SW Arlington

ARLINGTON, TX – A 21-year-old man sustained fatal injuries Sunday in a crash involving an electric bike and a pickup truck in Arlington, reports Fox 4 KDFW.

Shortly before 5 p.m., emergency crews responded to a two-vehicle collision on Green Oaks Boulevard between South Bowen Road and Cold Springs Drive, which is near Wimbledon Park on the southwest side of the city.

Police say that an electric bike on Greek Oaks struck a pickup truck as the latter vehicle exited a parking lot. The impact of the crash ejected the biker, who died after transport to an area hospital. Authorities identified the victim as Tariq Muhammad.

The driver of the pickup truck stopped to render aid and to speak with police.

No charges have been announced thus far.

A full investigation is underway.
