Cyclist struck, hurt on W 30th in Austin’s N University area
AUSTIN, TX – A bicyclist sustained injuries earlier this month in a hit-and-run collision near a busy intersection in the north campus area of Austin, reports CBS Austin.
Shortly after 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 14th, emergency crews responded to a bicycle accident in the area of West 30th Street and East Drive, which is just northeast of Kirby Hall School and and northwest of UT Austin.
Police say that an unknown vehicle hit the cyclist and fled the scene without stopping to render aid or to speak with authorities.
Medics transported the victim to an area hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities continue to search for a suspect vehicle and driver.
