Alex Rangle IDed as victim in solo crash at Los Rios, 14th
PLANO, TX – A Plano man died over the weekend in a single-vehicle collision at a busy intersection in southwestern Collin County, reports Fox 4 KDFW.
Around 9:30 p.m. Saturday, emergency crews responded to a major accident at 14th Street and Los Rios Boulevard on the east side of Plano. This is south of Bob Woodruff Park and west of Pecan Hollow Golf Course.
Police say that a southbound Chevy Silverado struck an electric pole near the intersection when the driver lost control of the vehicle while making a left turn. Authorities say that speed may have been a factor in the crash.
A passenger in the Chevy, identified as Alex Rangle, sustained fatal injuries.
Medics transported the driver to an area hospital with injuries of unknown severity. It is unknown if he will face charges in connection to the accident.
A full investigation is underway.
