Laredo PD arrests Jose Gomez-Montoya for hit-and-run

LAREDO, TX – One man was hurt, and another faced arrest last Wednesday following a hit-and-run collision in northwest Laredo, reports LMTonline.

Around 7:15 a.m., emergency crews responded to an injury crash at the intersection of Mercury Mine Road and FM 1472 in the Los Minerales area near Bricker Transport and SDL Carriers.

Police say that a red car struck a black Nissan when the driver of the former vehicle made a U-turn in the intersection without yielding right of way at the stop sign.

The driver of the red car left the scene without stopping to render aid or to speak with authorities.

The driver of the Nissan sustained injuries of unknown severity.

Laredo Police located and arrested 47-year-old Jose Saul Gomez-Montoya for causing an injury accident, for failing to yield, and for driving without a license.

A full investigation is underway.
