Davion Perry, Tre Harris III killed in crash at Almeda, Orem

HOUSTON, TX – Two men and a woman sustained fatal injuries earlier this month in a multi-vehicle collision caused by a drunk driver in southwest Houston, reports Fox 26.

The accident occurred just before 1:30 a.m. on Sunday, November 2nd, at the intersection of Almeda Road and West Orem Drive, which is west of Cogburn Park and TX-288, or South Freeway.

Police say that 29-year-old Tony Jerome Oliver was intoxicated when his southbound Chrysler 300 travelled through a red light and hit a Buick Enclave carrying at least three people. The initial crash pushed the Buick into three other vehicles.

Authorities declared three people from the Buick deceased, identifying two of them as 24-year-old Davion Perry and 23-year-old Ronald Cedric Harris III. A 21-year-old woman also died in the crash.

Medics transported Oliver to an area hospital with critical injuries. Police have charged him with intoxication manslaughter.

It’s unclear if anyone from the other three vehicles required hospitalization.

The investigation is ongoing.
