Carlos Mendez IDed as victim in Arlington pedestrian crash

ARLINGTON, TX – A 57-year-old man died last Friday from injuries sustained in an auto-pedestrian crash late last month in southwest Arlington, reports Fox 4 KDFW.

The accident occurred the morning of Monday, October 27th, on Kelly Elliott Road between Willow Tree Drive and West Sublett Road.

Police say that an SUV struck and seriously injured a man in a crosswalk. The man succumbed to his injuries 11 days later in the hospital.

Authorities identified the victim as Carlos Mendez.

The driver of the SUV stopped to render aid and to speak with police.

No charges have been filed thus far.

A full investigation is underway.
