Nicolas Castillon struck, killed on bike at S Houston intersection

HOUSTON, TX – A 7-year-old boy sustained fatal injuries on Thanksgiving morning when a vehicle struck him on his bicycle in Harris County, reports My Texas Daily.

The accident occurred shortly after 11:30 a.m. on Willow Glen Drive between Cullen Boulevard and St Lo Road in the South Park area of Houston. This is south of I-610 and north of Bellfort Avenue.

Police say that a westbound Ford F450 pickup struck the young boy in the area of 5200 Willow Glen Drive. The child, who has been identified as Nicolas Castillon, succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

The driver, who did not show any signs of intoxication, claims not to have seen the child prior to the collision.

No charges have been announced thus far.

A full investigation is underway.
