Auto-pedestrian crash in Flower Mound claims Isha Mishra, 14
FLOWER MOUND, TX – A teen girl sustained fatal injuries Tuesday when a vehicle struck her in the northwest suburbs of Dallas, reports WFAA News 8.
The accident occurred just before 4 p.m. at the intersection of Valley Ridge Boulevard and Browning Drive on the northeast side of Flower Mound, which is around 29 miles from Dallas and 33 miles from Fort Worth.
Police say that a pickup truck struck the 14-year-old girl in a crosswalk near Marcus 9th Grade Campus. The 60-year-old driver stopped appropriately at the stop sign, but accelerated just as the victim crossed in front of his vehicle.
The pedestrian, identified as Isha Mishra, died after transport to an area hospital.
The driver stopped to render aid and to speak with authorities.
It’s unclear if he will face charges.
