Christopher Eastman of Scurry hit, killed on FM 730 near Boyd

WISE CO., TX – An auto-pedestrian crash in southeast Wise County claimed the life of a 46-year-old Scurry man last Friday afternoon, reports WFAA News 8.

Shortly after 1 p.m., emergency teams responded to a fatal incident on FM 730 near County Road 4765. This is between the cities of Boyd and Briar, and about 27 miles northwest of Fort Worth.

Police say that a southbound Ford Escape struck a pedestrian while passing another vehicle on FM 730. It’s unclear if the victim was walking in a designated crosswalk at the time of the accident.

The victim, identified as Christopher Eastman, died after transport to a Decatur hospital.

The driver involved in the collision remained at the scene.

No charges have been announced thus far.

A full investigation is underway.
