Donna Codl killed, 3 hurt in 2-car crash on FM 2484 in Salado
SALADO, TX – One person died, and three people sustained injuries Saturday in a two-vehicle collision in south-central Bell County, reports KWTX 10.
Shortly after 4:30 p.m., emergency crews responded to FM 2484 between Salado Heights Drive and FM 1670 in Salado, which is approximately 50 miles northeast of Austin.
Police say that a westbound Chevy pickup collided with an eastbound Cadillac SUV when the driver of the Chevy failed to yield right of way and turned south in front of the Cadillac,.
A passenger in the Cadillac, identified as 80-year-old Donna Sybil Leach Codl, died at the scene of the accident.
Medics transported both drivers along with a teen passenger to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
A full investigation is underway.
