Motorcycle collision in Amarillo claims Daniel Contreras III
AMARILLO, TX – A two-vehicle collision fatally injured a motorcyclist Wednesday in south-central Potter County, reports News Channel 10.
Shortly before 6:15 p.m., emergency crews responded to a major accident at the intersection of Bushland Avenue and Western Street on the west side of Amarillo. This is just east of the Amarillo Country Club.
Police say that a westbound motorcycle and an eastbound SUV collided when the driver of the latter vehicle turned left into the path of the SUV.
The motorcyclist, identified as 24-year-old Daniel Vicente Contreras III, died after transport to an area hospital.
No charges have been filed thus far.
A full investigation is underway.
