Wrong-way crash on FM 902 in Collinsville kills Lydia Barnes
COLLINSVILLE, TX – A 28-year-old city hall employee sustained fatal injuries Monday in a two-vehicle collision along a major roadway in southeast Cooke County.
According to KTEN 10, the accident occurred in the morning along FM 902, or West Locust Street, just west of Collinsville and about thirty minutes northeast of Denton.
Police say that two vehicles collided head-on along FM 902. They’ve not yet provided a cross street for the crash.
It’s unclear if the wrong-way driver sustained injuries. The other driver, who has since been identified as Lydia Barnes, died at the scene.
Authorities say that one other person was hurt in the crash.
There’s no word yet regarding charges.
