Solo crash on Corpus Christi St claims Juanito Garcia Jr.

ROCKPORT, TX – Police are investigating a single-vehicle collision that claimed the life of a 52-year-old man in Rockport on Monday, reports Caller Times.

Shortly before 1:30 p.m., a 1959 Willie’s Overland Jeepster was involved in a crash on Corpus Christi Street between South Doughty Street and South Verne Street.

Officials say that for unknown reasons, the westbound vehicle left the roadway and crashed into a ditch.

The driver of the vehicle, identified as Juanito Garcia Jr., died after transport to an area hospital.

There were no passengers in the car at the time of the accident.

A full investigation is underway.
