John Tracy IDed as victim in chain-reaction crash near Junction
KIMBALL CO., TX – A 56-year-old man sustained fatal injuries Saturday in a Kimble County collision involving several semis and at least three other vehicles.
According to News 4 SA, the accident occurred around 6:30 p.m. on 1-10 between Junction and Mountain Home. This is around 100 miles northwest of San Antonio.
Police say that an initial tw0-vehicle collision forced a Toyota pickup truck off of the interstate and into a ditch. Several other vehicles then collided, including a box truck, a van, and four 18-wheelers. At this time, the trailer from a semi impacted with the Toyota pickup, killing the Toyota’s driver.
Authorities identified the victim as John Robert Tracy of Lutz, Florida.
It’s unclear if anyone else sustained injuries in the crash.
