Bryan Brown IDed as victim in crash near San Pedro, W Laurel

SAN ANTONIO, TX – One man died, and another sustained critical injuries Sunday in an auto-pedestrian crash in northwest San Antonio, reports KSAT 12.

Shortly before 1 a.m., emergency crews responded to a parking lot in the area of San Pedro Avenue and West Laurel Street, which is just south of San Pedro Springs Park and west of Methodist Hospital Metropolitan.

The initial investigation indicates that 36-year-old Jonathon Perez was likely intoxicated and speeding when he hit two pedestrians in a parking lot.

One of the victims, identified as 37-year-old Bryan Brown, succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

Medics transported the other male pedestrian to an area hospital with serious injuries.

Perez did not stop to render aid or to speak with police. He faces charges that include intoxication manslaughter and collision involving serious bodily injury.
