Celina PD arrests man in crash that killed Alexander Lopez
CELINA, TX – Authorities have charged a 68-year-old man in connection to a hit-and-run crash that killed a motorcyclist this week in Collin County.
According to Fox 4 News, the collision occurred Wednesday on FM 428 near Creekview Meadows Avenue in the city of Celina, approximately 42 miles north of Dallas.
While details regarding the circumstances of the crash are limited, police say that the driver of a pickup truck left the scene after hitting a motorcyclist along FM 428.
The motorcyclist, identified as 31-year-old Alexander Lopez, sustained fatal injuries,.
Police later located and apprehended the driver involved in the crash, identifying him as 68-year-old Mario Aguilar. Aguilar faces charges that include negligent homicide and collision involving personal injury or death.
The investigation is ongoing.
