Ziba Mir Shadad fatally struck near Danny Kaye Dr, Oakdell Way

SAN ANTONIO, TX – A teen girl sustained fatal injuries Monday morning in an auto-pedestrian crash in northwest San Antonio, reports News4SA.

The accident occurred around 5:30 a.m. in the parking lot of an apartment complex near Danny Kaye Drive and Oakdell Way. This is west of Methodist Hospital and UT Health San Antonio.

The initial investigation suggests the victim was struck when she walked into the path of a southbound garbage truck.

The victim, who has since been identified as tenth grader Ziba Mir Shadad, died at the scene of the accident.

There’s no word at this time regarding charges.

A full investigation is underway.
