Cassandra Silva claimed in ATV crash on Landfill Road in Fabens
FABENS, TX – A 23-year-old woman died Sunday in a solo crash involving an all-terrain vehicle in south El Paso County, reports My Texas Daily.
Shortly after 6 p.m., emergency teams were called to a major ATV accident on Landfill Road in the city of Fabens, about 32 miles southeast of El Paso.
The driver of a northbound Yamaha ATV, police say, lost control of the vehicle at a curve in the roadway, causing the ATV to collide with an electrical pole.
The impact of the collision threw both the driver and a passenger from the ATV and into the roadway.
The driver, identified as Cassandra Silva, died after transport to an area hospital.
The passenger went to the hospital with unknown injuries.
A full investigation is underway.
