Head-on crash along 1-10 near Lockwood injures Jordan Johnson

HOUSTON, TX – A 21-year-old woman sustained serious injuries last Tuesday in a wrong-way collision along the freeway in northeast Houston.

According to abc 13, the accident happened just before 1 a.m. on I-10, or the East Freeway, near Lockwood Drive, which is northeast of Wheatley High School and Finnigan Park.

Police say that a sports car entered the wrong side of the freeway and crashed head-on into the victim’s vehicle.

The wrong-way driver, who has not yet been identified by authorities, died at the scene.

Medics transported the other driver, identified as Jordan Johnson, to an area hospital in critical condition.

Motorists likely encountered overnight delays along the East Freeway while emergency crews worked at the scene.

A full investigation is underway.
