Wrong-way crash involving SUVs on DNT claims Michael Cochlin

DALLAS, TX – A wrong-way driver died Monday in a collision that happened Monday along the tollway in north-central Dallas, reports The Dallas Morning News.

Shortly after 2 a.m., emergency crews responded to a head-on crash along the Dallas North Tollway near Royal Lane in the Russwood Acres area.

According to police, a northbound Hyundai Tucson entered the southbound side of the toll road and collided head-on with a southbound Land Rover.

The driver of the Tucson, identified as 38-year-old Michael Francis Cochlin, died after transport to an area hospital.

Medics transported the driver of the Land Rover and an unknown number of passengers to the hospital with serious injuries.

A full investigation is underway.
