Mariano Molinar, 1 other killed in 2-car crash in Martin Co.

MARTIN CO., TX – A sports car and a pickup truck collided along the highway in western Martin County, killing a 23-year-old man and a child last Thursday, reports Aol.

The accident happened around 8 p.m. near mile marker 316 on TX-349 between Lamesa and Midland.

Police say that a northbound 2022 Dodge Charger collided with a southbound 2009 Ford F-150 when the driver of the Charger initiated a U-turn on the highway.

The driver of the Charger, identified as Mariano Molinar of Lubbock, succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the crash.

A child in the pickup truck also sustained fatal injuries.

Medics transported the driver of the F-150 and two additional passengers to an area hospital with moderate to severe injuries.

No charges have been announced thus far, and a full investigation is underway.
