Police charge Alexander Diaz Mendoza in Bexar Co. injury crash

SAN ANTONIO, TX – Authorities arrested a 30-year-old man last Thursday night in connection to an injury crash in northeast San Antonio, reports KSAT 12.

Around 9:30 p.m., emergency crews responded to a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Binz Engleman Road and Woodlake Parkway in the Woodlake area.

The preliminary investigation indicates that Alexander Diaz Mendoza failed to heed a red light at the intersection, causing his vehicle to hit another car.

The crash caused a pregnant woman in the second vehicle to miscarry.

Diaz Mendoza faces a charge of assault with a deadly weapon. Toxicology tests are still pending.

The investigation is ongoing.
