Stephanie Madzy IDed as victim in Comal Co. pedestrian crash
NEW BRAUNFELS, TX – Authorities are charging a Comal County dump truck driver for his role in a pedestrian crash in New Braunfels Monday.
According to News 4 SA, the accident occurred around 5:45 p.m. on North Seguin Avenue near West Mill Street. This is just west of the Comal County Courthouse.
Police say that 60-year-old Stephanie Madzy had the right of way at the intersection when a dump truck driver initiated a right turn on a red light and struck her.
Madzy succumbed to her injuries at the scene of the crash.
The dump truck driver, identified as 60-year-old Jude T. Jones, faces charges that include negligent homicide.
A full investigation is underway.
