Luecios Lucero fatally ejected in Winkler Co. solo collision
WINKLER CO., TX – A single-vehicle collision along the highway in Winkler County killed a New Mexico man last Friday, reports First Alert 7.
Around 6:30 p.m., emergency crews responded to a major accident on TX-115 between Kermit and Wink and around 70 miles southwest of Midland.
Police say the driver of an eastbound GMC Yukon lost control of his vehicle following a tire blowout on the highway. The SUV overturned, throwing the unrestrained driver into the roadway.
The victim died after transport to an area hospital. Authorities identified him as 21-year-old Luecios Xavior Lucero of New Mexico.
Nobody else was hurt in the accident.
A full investigation is underway.
