Jeffrey Beritiech IDed as victim in Orange auto-pedestrian crash
ORANGE, TX – A Bridge City man sustained fatal injuries Friday night in a pedestrian crash in east-central Orange County, reports 12 News Now.
Around 8 p.m., emergency crews responded to a fatal accident on TX-62 near the Pilot Travel Center in northwest Orange. This is about 30 miles east of Beaumont.
Police say that 34-year-old Jeffrey Beritiech attempted to cross the highway when he was fatally struck by both a Toyota pickup and a Chrysler sedan.
Beritiech succumbed to his injuries at the scene of the crash.
It’s unclear if either of the drivers will face charges.
A full investigation is underway.
