Pickups collide on TX-176 in Andrews Co., killing Jason Carreon
ANDREWS CO., TX – An Odessa man sustained fatal injuries Friday in a two-vehicle crash along the highway in Andrews County, reports NewsWest 9.
Around 5 p.m., emergency crews responded to a rollover crash involving two pickup trucks on TX-176. Police haven’t yet provided a mile marker or cross street for the accident.
The investigation indicates that a tire blowout caused a southbound Ford F-350 to enter the northbound side of the highway and collide with a northbound Ford F-150. The latter vehicle then overturned.
Authorities declared the driver of the southbound pickup deceased at the scene, identifying him as 28-year-old Jason Carreon.
The driver of the northbound pickup was not hurt in the accident.
The investigation is ongoing.
