UPDATE: Meagan Martin IDed as victim in Jasper Co. crash

JASPER CO., TX – Authorities have released the names of the mother and daughter who were killed Friday in a multi-vehicle crash in Jasper County.

Meagan Martin, 35, and her teen daughter, Serenity Rivera, sustained fatal injuries when a wrong-way vehicle struck their pickup truck on TX-62 near Buna.

A 9-year-old passenger from the pickup truck went to the hospital with non-critical injuries.

As previously reported, a northbound pickup veered onto the southbound side of TX-62 and hit both a sedan and a southbound pickup truck.

Martin, her daughter, and her 9-year-old son were occupants of the southbound pickup truck.

The wrong-way driver required hospitalization but is expected to survive his injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.
