Leyton Hernandez claimed in Temple crash on N General Bruce

TEMPLE, TX – One man died, and another sustained injuries Friday in a two-vehicle collision along the interstate in northeast Bell County, reports KCENTV 6.

Around 2 p.m., emergency crews responded to a rollover accident at the intersection of I-35, or North General Bruce Drive, and Hart Road in north Temple. This is around 35 miles southwest of Waco.

Police say that 28-year-old Leyton Hernandez failed to heed a stop sign, causing his vehicle to collide with another car in the intersection.

Hernandez died after transport to an area hospital.

Medics transported one person from the second vehicle to an area hospital with non-critical injuries.

Drivers likely faced afternoon delays along I-35 while crews worked at the scene.

A full investigation is underway.
