Motorcycle and van collide on Almeda Rd, killing Daundra Navajo

HOUSTON, TX – A 27-year-old motorcyclist sustained fatal injuries Saturday in a two-vehicle crash along a major roadway in central Houston.

According to My Texas Daily, the crash occurred shortly after 4:30 p.m. at the intersection of Almeda Road and Hepburn Street in the Astrodome area.

Police say that a northbound motorcycle collided with a Dodge Caravan when the 86-year-old driver of the latter vehicle ignored a stop sign.

The biker, who has since been identified as Daundra Navajo, died at the scene.

The driver of the Dodge stopped to render aid and to speak with police.

No charges have been issued so far.

A full investigation is underway.
